Testimonial Greta Schlinke – Service Manager
The international diversity, the freedom to shape my work, and the respectful interaction make my everyday work special.
As Service Manager for Incident Management in the IT Processes & Tools department for ServiceNow, I work at the interface between technology and the people who use it every day. I create new products in the service catalog, adapt existing ones, and design requirements from various departments—all with the aim of providing services that make a real difference across the organization.
I made a deliberate decision to join SCHOTT. After my time as an IT consultant, I wanted to experience the customer side and become part of a larger company—one that manufactures real products and with which I can identify. The exciting responsibilities, the way of working, and the glass industry convinced me. I have not regretted this decision.
For me, the culture at SCHOTT is defined by three things: collegiality, freedom, and international diversity. Our IT department is characterized by helpfulness and a relaxed atmosphere—at the same time, we collaborate with all business units, which keeps our daily work varied. The opportunity to visit other locations such as Malaysia and to work with colleagues from around the world makes the work especially interesting. And respectful interaction with one another is not the exception here, but the standard.
A culture that shapes everyday working life
Diversity as a strength
Together with colleagues from around the world, we develop solutions that are driven by cultural diversity and mutual learning.
A culture with conviction
Trust and responsibility are integral to our daily practice. It is a culture that provides guidance and fosters development.
Collaboration as equals
Flat hierarchies, open doors, genuine conversations – at SCHOTT, people work together, not merely side by side.
